Madrasa
March to May and September to November. Summers are intense (40°C+), winters mild and quiet. Spring brings the most colour and comfortable walking temperatures.
The medina is best on foot — many streets are too narrow for vehicles. For longer distances, petit taxis are cheap and available everywhere. Agree on a price before you get in.
Dress modestly in the medina — shoulders and knees covered. Bargaining in the souks is expected and part of the culture. Always carry small change for entrance fees and tips.
