You will trace ancient caravan routes, sleep under a blanket of stars in a luxury Berber camp, and wander through historic medinas and fortified kasbahs. By weaving the desert experience with the laid-back coastal charm of Essaouira, this grand tour provides a deeply contrasting, richly textured, and culturally immersive Moroccan adventure designed to create lifelong memories.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Welcome to Morocco! Our driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your beautiful riad in the medina. Relax, enjoy some mint tea, and take your first stroll through the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square.
Day 2: Marrakech Guided City Tour
A full day dedicated to discovering Marrakech with a local guide. Visit the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the beautiful Majorelle Garden, and navigate the colorful, bustling souks of the old medina.
Day 3: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Benhaddou - Dades Valley
Setting off into the High Atlas, we navigate the famous Tizi n'Tichka pass. Visit the iconic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, then head toward the Dades Valley, renowned for its stunning rock formations and ancient kasbahs.
Day 4: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Camel Trek
Visit the dramatic sheer cliffs of the Todra Gorges. After a short hike, we head deep into the south to Merzouga. Switch to camels for a sunset trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, arriving at a luxury desert camp for the night.
Day 5: Merzouga - Draa Valley - Agdz - Taroudant
Rise early for sunrise, then leave the desert via the vast, palm-filled Draa Valley. We journey through Agdz and onto Taroudant, a beautiful walled city often called the 'Grandmother of Marrakech'.
Day 6: Taroudant - Agadir - Essaouira
After exploring Taroudant, we head towards the Atlantic coast. We pass through Agadir and take the scenic coastal road to Essaouira, a charming coastal town famous for its blue and white medina and fresh seafood.
Day 7: Relaxing Day in Essaouira
A free day to soak in the bohemian atmosphere of Essaouira. Walk along the historic ramparts, relax on the beach, explore the local art galleries, and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch by the vibrant fishing port.
Day 8: Essaouira - Return to Marrakech
Enjoy a final morning by the ocean before we drive back to Marrakech. En route, we may visit a local women's Argan oil cooperative. Transfer to the airport or your accommodation.
