High Atlas Mountains
2 Days / 1 Night
Trekking / Hiking

Overview

Take on the highest peak in North Africa, Mount Toubkal (4,167m / 13,671ft), on this spectacular 2-day trekking expedition. Starting from the vibrant city of Marrakech, we head straight to the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains.

This trek is intensive but incredibly rewarding. You will traverse traditional Berber villages, cross high mountain passes with panoramic views, and spend the night at the Toubkal Refuge before an early morning summit ascent to witness a spectacular sunrise over the rugged Atlas peaks and the Sahara horizon.

Experience Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech to Imlil & Trek to Toubkal Refuge

Morning pick up from Marrakech and a scenic drive to the mountain village of Imlil. Meet your muleteer team and begin a steady hike through the Mizane Valley, passing the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch. Arrive at the Toubkal Refuge (3,207m) for an overnight stay. (Approx 5-6 hours hiking)

Day 2: Summit Day & Return to Marrakech

An early start to tackle the steep trails leading up to the summit of Jebel Toubkal. Reach the peak at 4,167m and be rewarded with sweeping, panoramic views of the Atlas range.
